Craft Ideas

Ladies! Thanks for checking the blog! Please let me know if you would like to participate in a craft group or if a craft night would be something you would like!  We are thinking it could go in many ways but here are a few.  I look forward to hearing your ideas!

Craft Group - Gets together periodically (monthly?) to do a craft selected by a leader
                    - Gets together to do crafts selected by a vote of the group (possibly Pinterest related)
                    - Group chats online and selects a challenge craft. Everyone posts photos of their finished craft, or group gets together to display finished crafts

Craft Night - Theme with up to three crafts to do one night or day quarterly

Or the crafts could be more specific. We could have a scrapbook or paper craft group, a practical craft group, whatever, with the group choosing or taking turns (kind of like the book club, they take turns choosing a book and host the group)

Are any of you out there looking for a challenge? A group of sisters to get to know and love? Groups are a great way of doing this!!

I would love to see some groups start up and love challenges!  If you joined a group there would be no obligation to participate, unless you volunteered for a specific thing like hosting a group or if you signed up to do something.

I have participated in swaps too, and this might be another cool thing to do. You could do it with "Crafts under $1.00" "Crafts under $5.00" "Scrapbook Layouts" or anything you thought was interesting.  The person initiating the swap would host it, make the rules, and people who wanted to would sign up for a spot in the group.  For example, if I hosted a yarn swap, and there were 10 people max in the swap, when we got 10 people the swap would close. The participants would follow the rules (say, have 10 by next Sunday, one yard of any kind of yarn, any color, rolled in tiny balls or in a ziplock bag.  Bring to the hostess.) and the hostess would divide them up and everyone in the swap would end up with 10 different yards of yarn.  The hostess could do a sign up that was more specific such as having a spot for each color so you would sign up for blue and do 10 balls of blue yarn, and end up with ten different colors.
